How does pricing compare to GitBook and Mintlify?

Can I try before I buy?

Yes! The Free tier is available forever with 1 project and 1GB storage. It's perfect for personal projects or evaluating the service. No credit card required to sign up.

What counts as a project?

A project is a single documentation site, typically corresponding to one Git repository. Each project can have unlimited branches (main, develop, feature branches, etc.) with their own unique URLs.

Are there any per-user fees?

No. Guidebook Cloud has no per-seat pricing. You can add unlimited readers using domain-based access control (e.g., anyone with @yourcompany.com email). Only organization admins need to be explicitly added.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time. Upgrades are effective immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades are also immediate with prorated credit. Note: You may need to reduce storage usage before downgrading.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe. Invoicing is available for Ultimate tier customers.

What happens if I exceed my storage limit?

New deployments will fail with a clear error message. Your existing documentation remains accessible. You can either upgrade your plan or delete unused branches/projects to free up space.
